Cross Ocean

In August 2021, Statsraad Lehmkuhl, one the of the world’s largest sailing ships set sail from Norway and began the One Ocean Expedition, a 20-month long circumnavigation of the globe. The expedition aims to share knowledge and raise awareness about the importance of the ocean for our common, sustainable future.

This world trip has also included a 12-day voyage from Mauritius to Maputo, Mozambique. With Tschudi Logistics being present in Maputo, it was therefore an honour to be appointed Port Agent for the vessel’s duration in port. Our team were present to give a warm welcome to the crew and all onboard. Emmanuel who has shared some photos also reports that “this was a very interesting job.”

Yacht Sofia (42mtr) from 2013. Unloaded last Friday in the Waalhaven/R’dam ex YACHT SERVANT (DYT) both under our agency.

On behalf of the new Australian owners, among other things, a berth in the Marina Rotterdam Marina arranged, as well as the customs settlement.

The yacht is manned in Rotterdam and has now arrived in Malta (under its own power) for a re-fit and survey. Sofia can accommodate 12 guests and 7 crew members.

Because of the privacy, Oudkerk was of course not allowed to take pictures of the interior, but they reported that Sofia is beautiful indeed!

Gprolog was nominated by their client to handle and deliver these big and heavy pieces from India to USA. Lot of preparation was done with the shipping line and product manufacturing team to have a clear understanding of handling these skids by using specially made frame and spreaders which are shipped along with these 3 skids. Same operations were required at discharge port for safe handling and discharge from the vessel.

Atlas Heavy performed the local multimodal transport of this huge vessel. The cargo had dimensions of 66ft, 11 inches long. 27ft, 8in wide. 23ft, 1in high and weighed 261370 lbs. The ride height was 27’1” tall. The cargo was rolled onto a barge from the manufacturer’s site in Houston, barged up the Houston Bayou, rolled off and moved over the road to the job site in Houston.

Silvasti’s scope included two transportations, one with the frame of the airplane and one with its wings.
