Scope of work: Port Operation, Customs Clearance, Storage, Handling, Delivery to the work and unloading at the base.

Adjustments to the routes were necessary, including civil works, to make transport feasible, as the transport was carried out in the rainy season and the structure of the highways was damaged by the rains.

The transport was carried out in the evening and at night due to its sheer size. It was necessary to call for the electricity to be cut off at three different locations.

The route of the transport was carefully planned and checked beforehand to ensure route feasibility. In addition, any necessary removal of lamp posts or road signs had been carefully planned.

For this transport, Tschudi’s Finnish client contacted their team in Turku for assistance and with help from colleagues in China. Tschudi managed the collection of the cargo at the Chinese port – ensuring a smooth and carefully planned operation.

They are now waiting for the main vessel to collect the cargo and continue the journey towards Africa.
